Nua’s Summer Social: A Memorable Day at Killeen Castle

On 23rd September, Nua Healthcare Services hosted its much-anticipated Summer Social at the magnificent Killeen Castle in County Meath. This event was a fantastic opportunity for team members, residents, and their families to come together for a day filled with fun, laughter, and connection.

As attendees arrived, they were greeted warmly at registration, where they received their itineraries for the day. The excitement in the air was palpable as everyone looked forward to the array of activities planned.

Our Occupational Therapy team curated a range of inclusive activities designed to engage everyone, such as Art in the Park, Mindful Movement, Life-Size Games Quest, and Woodland Discovery Walk. These activities not only promoted physical and mental well-being but also fostered a sense of togetherness among participants.

A highlight of the day was the golfing sessions led by professional golfer Emmanuel. Residents enjoyed learning new skills and techniques on the golf course, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

After a day of engaging activities, everyone gathered for a delightful BBQ. This provided a perfect opportunity for residents and their families to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy a delicious meal together. The atmosphere was lively, thanks to the fantastic live music performed by Bob Wade, which added to the joyful spirit of the occasion.

Nua’s Summer Social at Killeen Castle was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of community and connection. We are grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to making the day so special. We look forward to more events that bring us all together in celebration and joy!
