ESG Introduction
Nua Healthcare Services is committed to not only caring for the people within our services but also contributing to the communities which we live and work in and protecting the environments that provide for us all. Nua has a long-standing reputation as an organisation that values social and environmental good and indeed for applying transparent governance structures.
ESG stands for environmental, social and governance. These are called pillars in ESG frameworks and represent the three main topic areas that organisations are expected to report on. The goal of ESG is to capture all the non-financial risks and opportunities inherent to a company's day-to-day activities. By adopting ESG principles, our whole organisation focuses on the three pillars of the environment, social responsibility, and governance.
There are many nuanced definitions of ESG out there, but despite this, the fundamentals remain the same. Like-minded organisations around the world work tirelessly to improve their interactions with the planet and each other. We achieve this by reducing our carbon emissions, protecting biodiversity, managing energy and water consumption, and effectively managing waste, including recycling wherever possible. We also strive to promote employee, supplier, customer, and community relations while protecting employee rights, diversity, and inclusion. Moreover, we implement transparent governance structures and processes that guide and control our organisation.
