On Sunday, 16 March, Nua Healthcare Services was proud to once again partner with the Curragh Racecourse for this year’s St. Patrick’s Festival Race Day. In collaboration with Kildare Sports Partnership, this special event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of inclusivity for individuals with mental health conditions and intellectual disabilities while also highlighting the benefits of physical activity.

More than just an exciting day of racing, the event served as a platform to bring people together and promote greater community inclusion. With the support of local sports clubs, organisations, and the wider community, the day celebrated well-being, participation, and accessibility for all.

Our Director of Supported Living Services, JJ Carey, addressed attendees, reaffirming Nua Healthcare’s commitment to providing high-quality support services across Ireland. He also introduced two of our latest initiatives—the Mobile CLaD Hub and the Mobile Sensory Units—explaining how these services will enhance access to learning and sensory experiences for many individuals nationwide.

Throughout the day, Danika McCartney, Chief Operating Officer for Mental Health Services, joined Racing TV to discuss the significance of Nua Healthcare’s sponsorship. She emphasised how this partnership reinforces our dedication to inclusivity and strengthens our commitment to ensuring that individuals of all abilities can participate in and enjoy events like this.

The success of St. Patrick’s Festival Race Day was made possible through the incredible collaboration of the Curragh Racecourse, Kildare Sports Partnership, local sports clubs, and the wider community. Their collective efforts helped create a welcoming and supportive environment where inclusivity was at the heart of the celebrations.

At Nua Healthcare Services, we remain committed to advocating for individuals with mental health conditions and intellectual disabilities, ensuring they have access to meaningful opportunities that support their well-being and development.

We extend our gratitude to everyone involved in making this event such a success, and we look forward to supporting more initiatives that promote inclusion, well-being, and community engagement.
