This summer, Nua Healthcare and our CLaD Hubs proudly delivered nine summer camps across Tullamore, Portlaoise, and Dublin, supporting over 80 children with additional needs. Designed to be inclusive and person-centred, the camps offered a wide variety of activities that encouraged confidence, creativity, and wellbeing in a fun, supportive environment.
A Summer of Inclusion and Growth
Each camp was carefully planned to ensure children had the opportunity to take part in activities that suited their individual needs and interests. From creative projects and sensory play to games and outdoor activities, the camps gave children the chance to explore new skills, make friends, and enjoy experiences that were both meaningful and memorable.
Positive Feedback from Families and the HSE
The response from families and the HSE has been overwhelmingly positive. Parents spoke of the confidence their children gained, the joy they experienced, and the reassurance of knowing they were supported by dedicated, compassionate staff. For many, the camps were not only a highlight of the summer but also a valuable step in their children’s personal development.
One parent shared: "They had a brilliant experience with the camp and Ava loved it. Every member of staff was excellent, and I felt truly listened to.”
Our Commitment to Empowering Children
The success of this year’s programme reflects the hard work and passion of our CLaD Hub teams, who are committed to creating inclusive opportunities for children with additional needs. By offering safe, supportive, and engaging spaces, we help children flourish while giving families peace of mind.

Looking Ahead
We are delighted with the achievements of this year’s camps and look forward to building on their success in the future. Plans are already underway for future programmes, and we are excited to continue providing opportunities that enrich children’s lives through fun, learning, and connection.
