SERVICE USER OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER 2021
The Winner is Sam!
Sam was choosen as the very worthy winner of the Service User of the Month Award for October 2021.
Sam is 1 year in her new Nua home this month, having transitioned from another Nua Home. During this time, Sam has settled really well and has set lots of new goals for herself. One of Sam's goals is to get out into the community more and make more friends. She recently enrolled in college and is now also learning how to play the Ukulele. Sam also attends a weekly drama club called “Mad Youth”, which she absolutely loves and never misses a day. She has made lots of friends in the community due to her continuous engagement. Over the past few months, Sam’s fitness levels have also improved, she is a strong swimmer and feels better within herself after playing basketball or going swimming.
From everyone in Nua Healthcare, we would like to congratulate Sam on becoming Nua's Service User of the Month for October 2021.
"I want to say that I am proud to have won Service User of the Month, thanks for choosing me. This is a great award. I want to say thanks to my key worker for bringing me into aura (the swimming pool centre) in Louth. I would not have had the opportunity to lose over 3 stone in weight. Thanks to all the staff in my centre who supported me with this also. I have learnt that when you want to accomplish something, it's just doing things that help you. I choose swimming because it helps me. I also feel comfortable daily as I get my exercise in. Don’t give up!!!
Exercise is good for my mental and physical health. I want to say thanks for the voucher, I treated myself to a few items in Penney’s. I hope this encourages other Service Users in Nua because it is possible to do anything once you put your mind to it. Remember that". Sam.
