This Easter, Riverview CLaD Hub in Park West, Dublin 22, proudly welcomed twenty children aged between 6 and 15 to its first-ever children’s camp—a vibrant, inclusive two-week programme designed to support and engage young people with complex needs.
The camp offered a carefully curated mix of sensory-friendly and creative activities, ranging from painting and paper crafts to play dough, clay modelling, construction projects, and music sessions. Sensory play and calming visuals were woven into the experience to ensure a nurturing environment for every child. The highlight for many was the sensory room, which provided a peaceful retreat and became a firm favourite among the children and their families.

Parents shared glowing feedback, with one saying, “You definitely won him over with your beautiful, calming sensory room,” and another commenting, “He could not stop smiling each morning.” For some families, this was their first interaction with services like those offered at the CLaD Hub—and their response was overwhelmingly positive.
The Easter camp created a warm and welcoming space where children could build confidence, explore new activities, and form friendships in a supportive setting. For families seeking inclusive, accessible experiences for children with complex needs, Riverview CLaD Hub continues to be a valuable and inspiring resource.
This successful camp marks the beginning of more community-focused initiatives to come, as the Hub expands its offerings to meet the needs of families across the region.
