Training and Development at Nua Healthcare

Being a market leader in our field, we understand our responsibility for providing best-in-class training to employees to optimise talent and resource utilisation and deployment.

Employees are groomed to be fantastic professionals with the right training and development programmes provided at every stage of their career.

Learning and Development at Nua Healthcare is an integral part of our culture and business ethos. During times of challenge, it is paramount that our staff are supported to continually meet their learning needs both as individuals and as a team.

One of the fundamental goals of training is to equip staff to do the job we employ them to do. In order to achieve this objective, we have a strategic training plan in place linked to the three key pillars of the business:

  • Customer
  • People
  • Finance

We are committed to making a significant contribution to each and every staff member'sTraining and Development across the business. This is achieved through various methods of delivery i.e. inhouse training, online training and external training.

Irrespective of the model of delivery, all Training and Development is designed to deliver the relevant knowledge to our staff to ensure that they not only meet our needs in order to do the job but they add to the personal development of each individual employee.

70:20:10: It’s a Matter of Principle

Training for every level of employee at Nua Healthcare is devised on the basis of the 70:20:10 principle. When decoded this means:

70% of training and learning is hands-on experiential learning – real life scenarios which help employees to understand the challenges and their resolutions better.

20% of training is imparted by leaders and others with a few years experience of having handled a similar role. This enables employees to connect with the leaders and understand first-hand what it takes to be a leader.

10% of training is imparted through workshops and specific training methodologies which strengthen concepts and develop the necessary and required competencies.

The Learning Curve

Different training programmes for employees with different levels of experience help in developing and grooming potential leaders. That is why we design different programmes to impart the skills and knowledge necessary for employees to effectively manage their role responsibly.

It’s never too late to learn and at Nua Healthcare, it’s truly believed that learning helps the process of transformation – of an individual, of a team, of an organisation and ultimately of our Service Users.

Training Methodologies

Training for every level of employee is delivered through three key methodologies and evaluated against the job that each individual holds within Nua Healthcare:

  • Training and learning is hands-on experiential learning – real life scenarios which help an employee to understand the challenges and their resolutions better.
  • Training imparted by leaders and others with a few years experience of having handled a similar role. This enables the employees to connect with the leaders and understand first-hand about what it takes to be leaders.
  • Training imparted through workshops and specific training methodologies which strengthen concepts and develop the necessary and required competencies.
