Nua Healthcare

Service Types

Nua Supported Living Services deliver bespoke care packages to individuals with diverse needs, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, by private referral or formally via the HSE. Proud to offer the highest standards or service and care to each of our clients, the Supported Living teams place each person and / or their representative, at the centre of all decisions regarding their service. We do this through our team of qualified and experienced clinical professionals, management, allied health professionals and social care professionals but ultimately, through encouraging and facilitating each individual to live the life they choose, as independently and inclusively as possible within their community.

At Nua Supported Living, we understand the many complexities and varied needs and wishes each individual might have and so, with this in mind, we strive to be as professional and yet creative, as possible when working with individuals to help form their Personal Plan.

Homecare

An hourly support service to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week wraparound services. Nua's homecare services enable the individuals we support, to live in their own surroundings, to retain their dignity and the respect of others, whilst enabling them to reach their full potential. Our services also provide hope and support for family members, and when needed, some respite to enable family members recharge in order to maintain their level of commitment to supporting their loved one.

Rapid Response

For crisis management services – available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as required. Rapid Response services are subject to initial needs assessments, facilitated through Nua’s Admissions, Discharges and Transitions team. From time-to-time, members of our community can find themselves in a vulnerable situation requiring emergency support. In these most difficult of situations, they may find themselves homeless or trapped in an inappropriate public service which does not and cannot facilitate their medium to long-term needs. Nua’s Rapid Response service aims to assist public services and social workers in meeting the immediate needs of vulnerable people and improve the quality and safety of services for all during these very challenging and sometimes, dangerous situations.

Outreach

Our Supported Living Outreach Services are available to both Children and Adults. Many individuals utilise such services as a stepping stone towards independently engaging within their own community.  Our team works closely with each individual, preparing them for taking on opportunities outside of their homes, schools and in some instances, day centres.

To make this happen, we work holistically within the immediate circle of support and as appropriate, with other allied health professionals and community-based social services, to access housing and explore educational and employment opportunities.  Our services are guided by and delivered in line with the HSE’s ‘New Directions’, which empowers individuals to make choices and plans to support their own personal goals. Availing of Outreach Services allows for friendly interaction with others, meeting people over coffee, forming friendships and accessing many Independent Living Skills and Life Long Learning Programmes at the same time.
