Nua Healthcare

Facilities

In Nua we provide a high quality and standard of care in a safe, homely and comfortable environment for individuals with a range of disabilities, consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values and each service specific statement of purpose and function.

Nua Healthcare residential homes are typically surrounded by farmland and landscaped gardens and situated on one to two acre sites in semi-rural, tranquil environments. They typically span ground floor areas in excess of 2500 sq.ft and accommodate five to six residents. Each facility has been designed and built specifically with generously sized, private bedrooms and ensuites, wet rooms, disabled access bathrooms, large fully equipped kitchens, dining rooms and living areas, social space and sunrooms.

Each resident’s bedroom is spacious and facilitates for their personal belongings and private living needs, which is consistent with that found in a regular family home environment.

Service Users are heavily involved in the surrounding community, utilising many of its local amenities. Each house is within easy reach of local facilities, towns and villages. Service Users have their own personal plans which clearly identify their individual goals, aimed at enabling them to live their lives in full.  Service Users are encouraged to enjoy participating in community activities in the towns and villages, surrounding their care home. Many residents are involved in a variety of social club activities such as; soccer, gaelic football, drama, athletics, badminton, boxing, art and karate. Some residents are also members of gyms and leisure clubs and enjoy visiting the cinema and playing bowling in their downtime.
