Nua Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen Lynott to its Board of Directors as the Head of Clinical Governance.
Maureen joins as a highly regarded and respected Board member with extensive healthcare governance, leadership and management experience in the public and private sectors across the USA, Ireland, Europe and Asia.
A former senior advisor to the HSE on performance improvement and change programmes (2005-2010), Maureen’s industry background has seen her develop a reputation for effectively dealing with challenging and sensitive issues in healthcare including sectoral reform over the past three decades.
In the past ten years alone, Maureen has held a number of senior management roles across the Irish health service and as an advisor to public, private and voluntary bodies, including Chairperson of the Top Level Appointments Committee (2011-2014); Advisor to the CEO, Voluntary Health Insurance Board (2012-2014); Chairperson of the Task Force to Establish the Irish Child and Family Agency (2011-2012) and as CEO of the National Treatment Purchase Fund (2002-2004; appointed first Chairperson of the new Statutory Board in 2004).
She currently holds a number of other executive and non-executive leadership positions within the health and care services sectors in Ireland and internationally including; Beacon Private Hospital (Non-Executive Director), Special Residential Services Board (Chairperson), Policing Authority of Ireland and Partnership for Palliative Care (Non-Executive Director) (New York, USA).
