ANNOUNCEMENTS: Nua Healthcare Outreach Programme creates volunteering partnership with My Lovely Horse Rescue

Nua Healthcare Outreach Programme creates volunteering partnership with My Lovely Horse Rescue

Nua Healthcare is one of Ireland's leading Specialist Care Providers, providing care to adults and children who present with a range of needs and support requirements.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, active and fulfilling life. This ethos is at the heart of everything we do.

‘My Lovely Horse Rescue’ has welcomed the help of several service users from Nua Healthcare who, with the support of the care staff, carry out regular voluntary work with the horses and other animals at the Rescue Centre.

Community inclusion is integral to the way in which Nua works and volunteering at ‘My Lovely Horse Rescue’ gives the service users a great opportunity to engage with members of the community and with the animals.

Volunteering at the rescue centre is therapeutic and rewarding and helps give meaning and purpose to the service user’s day. It is also a great opportunity for the service users to get out in the fresh air and be active while meeting new people and learning new skills.  It’s also been a great way to build confidence and boost levels of self-esteem.

Nua Healthcare would like to thank ‘My Lovely Horse Rescue’ for their support with the outreach programme.
